On Monday, Home Depot’s appeal of a $2.7 billion antitrust settlement with Blue Cross Blue Shield was denied by the Supreme Court of the United States. The ten-year-long case asserted that Blue Cross Blue Shield had taken part in anti-competitive actions which caused excessive costs. Voters in Oregon may soon decide whether the state will be the first in the nation to implement a universal basic income program that would tax corporations to put money in the pockets of residents.
