McDonald’s started the infamous Happy Meal back in 1979. Since then, the kids meal and toy included in the meal became wildly popular. Through the years, some of these toys have grown in value due to their rarity.
Today, some collectors will pay a pretty penny for some of these rare toys from back in the day. We’ve collected a list of the most valuable McDonald’s Happy Meal toys that could earn you a small fortune!
TY Teenie Beanie Boos (2000)
TY beanie babies are a popular ’90s toy that have grown in value over the years and now some collectors will pay a shocking amount of money for them. So it comes as no surprise that when McDonald’s released their line of miniature beanie babies in the Happy Meals called Teenie Beanie Boos, they were an instant hit.
These plush toys are widely recognized as the most popular Happy Meal toy of all time and the line of toys from 2000 is certainly the most valuable. The full set is valued at around $670.
Robots and Underwater Monsters (1979)
This collection of robots and underwater monsters was released the same year that McDonald’s released the Happy Meals for the first time, making them one of the most rare collections.
The toys doubled as erasers and seeing as it is quite rare to find a full set today, they are valued to be worth $593 each.
Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers (1994)
Power Rangers were all the rage in the ’90s and McDonald’s was sure to hop on the trend by offering mini collectibles in their Happy Meals in 1994.

Dukes of Hazzard Cars (1983)

Given how fragile the toys were, the set of 5 cars is extremely valuable today and it’s rare to find a complete set. General Lee alone has been listed for $250 and the entire collection is estimated to be about $350 in value.
McNugget Buddies (1988)
McDonald’s added the infamous McNuggets to their menu in 1983 and they were an instant hit. So much so that they released a toy based off of the menu item in the late ’80s. The McNugget Buddies were small plastic collectibles each dressed in their own costume and theme.
The McNugget Buddies were in circulation until 1996 and McDonald’s even recently brought them back for a promotion in limited-edition adult Happy Meals to further capitalize on the nostalgia. The entire set in the original packaging could sell from over $200.
